Myth: The Flash
Past Life Information: Barry's life was defined very early: his mother was killed and his father arrested and jailed for the crime. Barry moved in with the family of his best friend Iris West; her police officer father, Joe, became like a father to Barry too -- so much so that Barry followed in his footsteps, joining Central City PD as a forensic scientist. When a particle accelerator at STAR Labs exploded, Barry was transformed into a metahuman with the gift of phenomenal speed. He became a superhero known as the Flash. Life has been complicated ever since, from chasing down metas to having friends who are metas to having multi-versal enemies, frenemies, and evil fucking overlord...ies, to Barry finally confessing his love for Iris. The road to their wedding was paved with difficulties, but they finally got there. Barry may have lost both of his parents and a significant amount of the people he loves (don't ask him about his guilt re: Ralph, or Caitlin, or...anyone, really...) but, in a weird-ass twist, his future daughter just turned up at his door. Never a dull moment...

Personality: Kyle is a little bit of an absentminded professor. He remembers complex algorithms and equations no problem, but when was the last time he washed his sheets? He probably could not tell you off the top of his head. Kyle is a workaholic, and tends to overcompensate with work to avoid dealing with the fact that his personal life is a bit of a non-starter. Sometimes, he feels closest to his tattoo artist -- he started getting the tattoos whenever he felt so lonely he felt like a ghost. Now he has a few artworks to remind him that he's alive and that the world is beautiful.
Background: Thank god Kyle could turn gaming and his obsession with computers into a job. He's the kind of soft nerd that got bullied in high school, so he clung to the internet like you wouldn't believe. Kyle has at least four tumblrs, an old livejournal, and a pretty popular twitter account. He streams on twitch sometimes -- he's made some friends that way -- and sure, he could have stayed in academia, studying tech or pivoting into engineering, but what would be the point? He's always learning on his own -- he's a curious kind of guy -- and this way he's not constrained by an institution. His mother, who raised Kyle on her own, would say that Kyle never really liked being told what to do. It's true, but that doesn't mean that Kyle isn't at his mother's house every Sunday for lunch and a movie.
